Role Description
The Senior Accounting Manager is an integral part of the finance team, as a key owner of both management reporting and audited financial statements. Will be responsible for maintaining the entire general ledger and completing a timely month close, including budget to actual analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and continuous improvement on the month close process. This role will work cross-functionally with all teams to ensure accounting policies are adhered to and expenses are captured correctly, and provide results to the Controller and FP&A.

The minimum annual salary for this position is $115,000 and the maximum is $130,000. The salary range for performing this role outside of New York City will differ. Role Responsibilities
- Oversight of all corporate accounting operations, including accounts payable, treasury, revenue recognition, fixed assets management, and inventory
- Own and execute monthly and quarterly close, including multi-entity consolidation, ensuring accurate results are delivered timely
- Manage procurement process, including approvals, and tracking actuals to budget with department leads
- Oversee company travel, credit card, and reimbursements program
- Help lead the implementation of best practices to simplify, standardize and scale our business
- Assist in preparing consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from cross functional teams
- Serve as a key point of contact for year-end financial statement audit
- Support and work with cross-functional teams by providing departmental reporting and analysis, to ultimately assist with internal decision making
- Support special projects and ad hoc requests
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- 6+ years combined professional accounting experience with a top public accounting firm or mid-to-large size firm, as well as relevant industry experience with consumer-packaged goods & emerging growth organizations.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, and experience completing annual financial statement audit
- Proficient with MS Office with advanced excel skills and the ability to manipulate large data sets
- Experience with ERP systems required, SAP a plus
- Industry experience with manufacturing, consumer goods, DTC
- Proactive self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and an ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet pressing deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners at various levels
